Anfang der 1980er Jahre hatte Nancy Salvador aus Kingston (Kanada) eine Audition und bekam die Worte „New Jerusalem: Let God mold you into the right shaped stone“ durch göttliche Zuweisung innerlich zu hören. Dieses Motto wurde von ihr mittels eines Banners visualisiert, welcher auch auf der Homepage der evangelikalen Missionarin aus Kingston in Ontario, Kanada, zu finden ist.
In der Mitte fällt sogleich der gelbe Kubus auf, von dem Bänder ausgehen: Lichtstrahlen, die die Welt erleuchten. Einige laufen direkt auf stilisierte Personen zu, welche die Apostel oder andere Gläubige symbolisieren. Manche befinden sich innerhalb der Stadt, mache außerhalb. Ihre runden, gelblichen Köpfe ohne Gesicht lassen auch an die Perlen erinnern, die die Tore der Stadt schmücken. Die Stadt ist von einer grünen Mauer umgeben, die rechts oben offen zu sein scheint. Zu dieser Merkwürdigkeit schrieb die Künstlerin: „When I make banners, first I ask the Lord to bless the work of my hands. I made myself cardboard stencils for the letters and make paper patterns for the illustrations, cut them out and trace them onto the felt. Then I cut out the felt pieces and glue them onto the (blue) background with Craft Glue. My brother-in-law had made a huge stainless steel set-square, so I use it to line up the letters. When I drew the walls of the holy city, I had four complete paper walls which should have fit onto the banner. However, when I traced and cut out the felt pieces, strangely the wall on the right side would not all fit so I cut part of it away. At first I was upset about it; but then I believed the Lord wanted to show that there is still a breach in the wall of His holy city, the body and bride of Christ. I remembered that if we fast the way the Lord wants us to do it, pouring ourselves out in love for the hungry and afflicted, then a number of blessings will occur in our lives“. Der Jerusalem-Banner wurde 1982 fertiggestellt und hing zunächst zum Osterfest in einer kanadischen Kirche. Es ist eine Mischtechnik aus Filz und Acrylfarben. So sind etwa der blaue Hintergrund und die Buchstaben der Audition „New Jerualem: Let God mold you into the right shaped stone“ („Neues Jerusalem: Lass dich von Gott in den richtigen Stein formen“) aus Filz gearbeitet.
